Program Description

Cora and Alice are at last reunited with their father, but Fort William Henry is under siege by the French. Hawkeye and the Mohicans have been captured by the Hurons and help for either may not arrive in time. The Huron patrol passes by. Led by the Mohicans, Hawkeye and his party pass near the French troops that are attacking Fort William Henry. Meanwhile, Magua relates to french General Montcalm how he lost his prisoners. Magua is furious when Montcalm says that if the girls are recaptured, he will return them to their father. Cora, Alice, David and Heyward succeed in reaching the fort but Hawkeye and the Mohicans are captured by the French and Hurons. Colonel Munro gives Heyward permission to marry Alice. In the Huron section of the French camp, Hawkeye and his two Mohican friends are being tortured. Montcalm orders their release and sends them into Fort William Henry with a message - he has captured General Webb's dispatches. Montcalm and Munro meet. The Colonel reads the captured messages.
