Series Description

CATS & DOGS is a new 26-part series that explores the human/animal bond in all its aspects. Each week, series host Dr. Anita Migday, a respected Massachusetts veterinarian, invites viewers to observe clinic visits with real feline and canine clients. In addition to these segments on pet heath care -- prevention, detection and treatment -- Dr. Migday offers valuable do-it-yourself tips on at-home care with particular emphasis on grooming, obedience training and nutrition. CATS & DOGS also criss-crosses the country to capture stories about some remarkable pets and their owners. Common and exotic cat and dog breeds are showcased, as well. Packaged in a lively magazine format, the series is made up of regular "departments," including: Clinic Visits; Ask the Vet; Features; Pet Tips; Breed of the Week and Do-It-Yourself. Produced by WGBH Boston in association with the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA). Funding provided by Kal Kan.
