Series Description

FRONTLINE is investigative journalism that questions, explains and changes our world. Since 1983, FRONTLINE has served as PBS's flagship public affairs series. Hailed upon its television broadcast debut as "the last best hope for broadcast documentaries," FRONTLINE's stature is reaffirmed each week through incisive documentaries covering the scope and complexity of the human experience.

Program Description

The opening of a Nissan plant in Tennessee and its Japanese management style. The industrial might of Japan has taken the U.S. by storm as American corporations begin to adopt the Japanese style of management, stressing worker involvement in a family-like corporate environment. FRONTLINE looks at the darker side of Japanese labor relations through the tough management style of the Nissan Motor Company in Japan and in Smyrna, Tennessee.
