The point of Painting The Town”is that art is all around us - on our doorsteps, on our walls, in the sky - there for the looking, if we pause an instant to do so. It’s the kind of art you’d probably never see inside museum walss - it’s too big or it passes in an instant - or nobody would ever think of it as “art.” Like grafitti, public gardnes, crosswalks and the flashes of color seen from a speeding car. And “street furniture” too - mail boxes, stop signs and traffic lights - all part of the art in a neighborhood.
