This new, locally produced ten-part series highlights the cuisine of a variety of countries - including China, Russia, Italy, Vietnam, Mexico and India - as well as regional specialties within the United States.
Each week host Yara Roberts welcomes into the studio kitchen a different guest author/chef whose cookbook and cuisine provides insights into a particular culture or region. With help from Roberts, each guest demonstrates how to prepare special recipes.
Boston resident Yara Roberts, who was born in Brazil, has taught Brazilian cooking and is the author of The Brazilian Table. Fluent in four languages (English, French, Spanish and Portuguese) Roberts has lived in many countries and enjoyed a variety of cultures. She is an advocate of Brazilian lifestyle and cuisine.
Pilot for series featured Boston Globe food writer Sheryl Julian as host.
