Program Description

Series Description: "The Charlie Horse Music Pizza" is a musical comedy designed to entertain and educate children between the ages of two and eight. The title is derived from the series' main location, The Music Pizza, a pizza parlor on a beach which serves as a local hangout for neighborhood children. Shari, the owner/operator, is assisted by her lovable character Charlie Horse, as well as a pair of new characters: a delivery boy named Take Out--who also happens to be a drum-playing skateboarding orangutan--and a raccoon, Fingers, who plays the saxophone. Dom DeLuise guest stars as Cookie, the chef. Rounding out the cast will be Lamb Chop, and Hush Puppy. The series will also feature musically skilled guest stars from the worlds of entertainment and sports.

Each episode of "The Charlie Horse Music Pizza" includes a solid element of music education as a natural development of the storyline. Incorporated in the plot is musical fun including games, activities and crafts relating to the making of music, introducing children to a smorgasbord of musical styles--from Dixieland and marching bands to country and classical.
