Program Description

Part I: Update on 1984 program #213, "Warnings from Gangland" which explored gangs and gang related crime in Watts section of Los Angeles. James Hawkins, Sr., has turned his home and business into an armed camp, fighting gang members who live across Imperial Highway. Part II: The trial of gang members accused of conspiracy, through interviews in prison and inside the housing project where they live in the Watts section of Los Angeles, gang members talk about gangs and why they form, and the threat they pose to ordinary citizens.
