- Series Description
FRONTLINE is investigative journalism that questions, explains and changes our world. Since 1983, FRONTLINE has served as PBS's flagship public affairs series. Hailed upon its television broadcast debut as "the last best hope for broadcast documentaries," FRONTLINE's stature is reaffirmed each week through incisive documentaries covering the scope and complexity of the human experience.
- Program Description
As congressional investigations begin in Washington,FRONTLINE explores the dark cloud of suspicion surrounding political contributions -- primarily Asian contributions -- that have hung over the Clinton administration since the beginning of its second term. Correspondent Peter Boyer travels the corridors of power in Washington to Hawaii, uncovering the roots of big Asian money in American politics. Along the way, Boyer examines the complicated web of relationships that includes the president, his advisors, members of the cabinet and a wide variety of businessmen who would like to buy their way into the White House.
