Program Description

In this 1986 "docu-comedy," director Ross McElwee set out to retrace General William Sherman's famous Civil War march to the sea, but ended up filming his own failed attempts at romance along the way. Comic highlights include a subplot involving Burt Reynolds and an encounter with Darlene the foulmouthed matchmaker.
