Hosted by LeVar Burton - three eight minute films per half hour program. Each film about a kid from different parts of the country, ethnic groups, interests. Second season had two films per half hour. Aimed for audience ages 9-13. Featured the languages, families and achievements of minority kids across the country. Series release date: 9/1976
- Program Description
Martita: Lower East Side, New York: A poet, who along with El Teatro Ambulante, conveys the message of the Latino in the Lower East Side, New York.
Todd and Artney: Detroit, Michigan: Family struggling for total communication in the schools. Three of the four children were deaf at one time.
Pearl Tam: New York City: Pearl tells of her experiences living in New York’s Chinatown and introduces us to her friends and family who are involved in community politics.
