The race between John Kerry and William Weld for the Senate seat is proving to be one of the most heated contests in Massachusetts' colorful political history; this is not the first time, however, that a popular governor has challenged a sitting senator, nor is it the first time that the outcome could have a dramatic impact on national as well as state politics. Featuring archival photographs and film, the WGBH produced Decisions, Deceptions and Debates traces the history of the U.S. Senate seat from Massachusetts, culminating in highlights from the seven scheduled Kerry/Weld debates.
