Series Description

FRONTLINE is investigative journalism that questions, explains and changes our world. Since 1983, FRONTLINE has served as PBS's flagship public affairs series. Hailed upon its television broadcast debut as "the last best hope for broadcast documentaries," FRONTLINE's stature is reaffirmed each week through incisive documentaries covering the scope and complexity of the human experience.

Program Description

The aftermath of a major air disaster and how insurance companies and lawyers get involved. Investigates the frightening aftermath of one of the worst air disasters in U.S. history, the June 9, 1982, crash of Pan Am Flight 759 at the New Orleans airport. The report discovers how human greed and legal machinations over hundreds of millions of dollars bring new horror to survivors and victims' relatives alike. (Update aired in 1984.)
