Documentary series with international stories. Predecessor to FRONTLINE, executive producer David Fanning. Five seasons from 1978-1981. "WORLD has presented a series of international documentaries. - Program Description
An estimated 1,000 survivors of the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki now live in the United States. Most of these survivors are women in their fifties and sixties. Most of them are American citizens who were caught in Japan when the war broke out or married Americans after the war. The program is a documentary based on interviews with 30 Japanese-Americans survivors, augmented by archival and newsreel footage and animation.
