Program Description

Over one-fifth of the world's population lives in the People's Republic of China. How will China continue to feed a fifth of mankind? Dazhai, in Shinsi Province, is China's most famous agricultural collective. Each day thousands of peasants from all over China are led through its terraced fields and urged to learn from their example. This film profiles the region and China's efforts to feed its people.
