Martha Stewart, prominent American chef and author of five books on the art of cooking and entertaining, celebrates the holiday spirit with creative and practical approaches to every aspect of holiday entertaining-- from menu planning to food preparation to table settings and seating arrangements.
Stewart welcomes us into her restored nineteenth-century Connecticut farmhouse to share her talent for personalizing holiday celebrations by blending ethnic and American traditions. Stewart's family recipe for Polish mushroom soup, the chestnuts gathered from a neighbor's yard and a show-stopping Thanksgiving bird are all part of the spirit of the season she recaptures stylishly in this program. Other recipes include: Spiced Peaches in White Wine Syrup, Potato-Squash Anna, and Root Vegetable Salad.
