Dr. Grete Bibring, MD, a psychoanalyst from Freud’s circle, the first woman clinical professor at the Harvard Medical School and Chief of the Psychiatric Service at Beth Israel Hospital and Oliver Cope, MD, Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School, and Senior Consulting Surgeon of the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are discussing Grete’s life and education, Sigmund Freud, Vienna in the beginning of the 20th century, Anschluss, as well as feminism and psychoanalysis and medicine in Boston after World War II.
