Series Description

Radio Broadcast locally starting in January 1994, national feed began in June 1994. Two seasons of 26 programs each.

Weekly radio series featuring authentic Jazz and Blues music from New Orleans. Host Charmaine Neville, a native New Orleanian and jazz singer, provides a mixture of classic tracks and brand new recordings, along with her own commentary about the different artists and styles of music. Produced at WRBH on Magazine Street in New Orleans, and aired from Jan 7, 1994 to Sept 1, 1995. Recordings also include two 2-hour episodes covering segments of the 1994 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.

Charmaine Neville along with a production team that includes producer and script writer Kalamu ya Salaam, technical director Tim Green, executive producer Robert Lyons, and WGBH Radio Boston.
