Description from WGBH press release of the day: “ POW is the story of the faith that kept a family together during six years of separation. On May 19, 1967, ‘Red’ McDaniel, a Navy pilot from Virginia Beach was shot down on his 81st combat mission over Vietnam. He was imprisoned – and tortured – for six years. For the first three of those years his wife, Dorothy, describes their separate, but similar thoughts, and shows McDaniel’s homecoming and the reacquaintance with his family. POW is the second in the series Religious America.”
Filmed in Virginia Beach. Participants:Eugene "Red" McDaniel; Dorothy McDaniel; Michael McDaniel; David McDaniel; and Leslie McDaniel.
