- Series Description
Five 15-minute vignettes on CD-ROM that will illustrate successful elements in the National Science Foundation’s Advanced Technology Education programs in community colleges, featuring a representative range of such disciplines as agriculture, biotechnology, chemistry, information technology, and manufacturing. Each video will profile two students, highlighting the ethnic, geographic, and age diversity reflected in community college demographics. In addition, an introductory video, drawn from the collection as a whole, will provide an overview of ATE programs. This overview, also available in CD-ROM format, will serve as an easily accessible means for introducing the series to a broad audience. It will be widely distributed for use at “college nights” in secondary schools, career counseling sessions, and general promotion events for community colleges and ATE programs.
