Shakespeare's comic play of lovers, faeries, spirits and bumpkins who mingle in a forest glade during a magical night in which their fates become linked in a round robin of coupling and uncoupling. Filmed at a performance of the American Repertory Theatre. Production was directed by Alvin Epstein. Producer for WGBH was Peter Cook. Aired only on WGBH.
