From January 1968 WGBH program guide: “ This is a series specifically designed for all those who participate in the care of nursing home patients. Topics include patient rehabilitation, nursing home organization, the ‘new’ nursing home of tomorrow, costs within the nursing homes, and personnel recruitment and training. The moderator for the series will be Kenneth T. Bird, M.D., of the Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Bird will be joined on the first program by John H. Knowles, M.D., General Director of Massachusetts General Hospital, and Samuel Levey of the Medical Care Planning Unit at Harvard Medical School. Other experts in patient care will participate in later programs.
The Third and fourth telecasts, January 22 and 29, will be live and during these two programs Dr. Bird and his guests will answer questions phoned in by administrators and nursing home personnel watching in their offices and homes.” Series release date: 1968
