Gardening program hosted by Jim Wilson and joined by Bob Smaus, Roger Swain, Lucinda Mays and Peter Seabrook as international travel correspondent. Series chef is Marion Morash. Special correspondent is Holly Shimizu. The Boston-based Victory Garden (w/ Roger Swain) is located at a private residence; Victory Garden South is at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia; Victory Garden West is at Roger's Garden Center in Corona del Mar, California. - Program Description
Host Roger Swain reports pondside from the Suburban Garden on cultivating water plants such as water lilies and irises. He'll offer tips and advice on landscaping backyard water ponds. Southern correspondent Lucinda Mays takes a look at the last of her Swiss chard and spinach and offers handy how-to advice on planting sugar cane, okra and sweet potatoes. Chef Marian whips up a zesty coleslaw using radishes.
