Wine Sales Supreme Court has ruled that states can't block out-of-state wineries from selling to consumers if they allow in-state wineries to. At issue was a contradiction in the Constitution, which mandates that states treat in-state and out-of-state commerce evenhandedly. However, 21st Amendment, which ended Prohibition, explicitly gave states the power to regulate sales and importation of alcohol. 5-4 ruling issued Monday says that 21st Amendment was never intended to trump the free commerce clause of the Constitution.
