Program Program examines the relationship between African American men and women via a studio presentation of one segment from the for-stage trilogy The Black Dyad. Directed by playwrights Evelyn and Melvin Moore, "The Commitment" deals with whether or not people should be compelled to share feelings of devotion with one another. Play performed is "The Commitment" and features actors Robert Welch and Nia Anderson. Additional program segments include previously aired commentary by professor and historian A.B. Spellman, "Book Beat," a reading of Winifred Oyoko Lovings' poem "Later On" by Producer Marita Rivero, and the "Community Calendar." Produced by Marita Muhammad Rivero. Directed by Conrad White.
