Program Description

This program tells the story of the rise and fall of Phar-Mor, Inc., the chain of discount drug stores, from its inception and rapid expansion to its plunge into bankruptcy, caused by one of the largest corporate frauds in U.S. history. The program reveals how, for five years, Phar-Mor's top executives were able to hide from the company's auditors losses which eventually left the company $500 million short of its stated net worth.
