Follow Me Down: A Folk Reunion
Program Description

Johnny D's Uptown Lounge, a Somerville, Massachusetts haven for music lovers, opens its doors to Tom Rush, Christopher Smithers and friends for a special evening of tunes that recall the Boston area's golden age of folk music, the 1960's and 70's. Rush, a local favorite who went on to earn an enviable international reputation, performs a number of his longtime favorites and welcomes other folk luminaries including Chris Smither, Jackie Washington Landron, Jim Rooney and Eric von Schmidt to round out the rich musical roster. Taped spring of 1994 at the popular Davis Square hot spot, this musicale comes just as the area is poised for a folk renaissance.
