Brown sharks sighted of the coast of Nantasket Beach. Reporter Marcus Jones is on Shark Alert. He interviews MDC Police patrol, who takes the camera crew out on the water. Local are trying to spot sharks. Interviews with locals. Press conference at the New England Aquarium, who say there's nothing to fear. NIGHTLY NEWS WITH CHRISTOPHER LYDON AND CARMEN FIELDS Began January 1976. Replaced evening news show EVENING COMPASS. Original host: Steve Nevas. Other anchors, Christopher Lydon (1977-91) and Gail Harris (1983). In 1980 - hour long. Ended in 1991.
