Program Description

Documentary about Japan through historical artifacts at a special exhibit. Narration taken from the diary of Edward Sylvester Morse, one of the first foreigners to visit Japan in 1877. Morse stayed in Japan for four years and the objects he collected are now at the Peabody Museum.
