- Program Description
The story of Countess Rachel Sangalletti, who captivates Ambrose Ashley and then his nephew Philip. Tragedy strikes both men who are bewitched by her beauty and charm. While in Florence on holiday, Ambrose meets his distant cousin Rachel and soon they are married. Ambrose is taken ill in Florence and mysteriously dies. Nephew Philip's anger towards Rachel wanes when he is confronted by her kind and charming manner but his suspicions are fanned by ominous letters written by his uncle before his death.
