- Program Description
Lillian was committed to a mental hospital in the late 1920's. Was she mad? Or merely a difficult and original young woman? Now the hospital is going to close and Lillian's great nephew is determined to bring Lillian back to the family house where she was brought up. The move is traumatic, not only for Lillian, but also for Hugh's pregnant wife Harriet, who is ambivalent about having Lillian live with them. Yet gradually Harriet begins to realize the old lady has an original and rebellious spirit which both exhilarates and disturbs her.
