Program Description

Narrated by Lorne Greene, this program looks at the issue of pollution in America today (1970). “This remarkable film shows the beauty that was America, and the terrible conditions that exist today. Scenes of giant redwoods and sparkling lakes contrast sharply with slowly dying trees and rivers clogged with algae and dead fish.” (From September 1970 WGBH Program Guide).
