- Finish Line, The
- Program Description
This program is a live, three-hour studio broadcast that should make for lively and authoritative election night coverage. Co-anchored by veteran journalist Hodding Carter and syndicated columnist and former ABC News correspondent Ken Walker, with additional interviews and analyses from Daniel Schorr (National Public Radio), Nancy Dickerson, Terry Gross (Host of NPR's "Fresh Air"), and Christopher Lydon. The participant list includes Massachusetts Governor William Weld, syndicated columnist Ellen Goodman, key Clinton advisor Robert Reich, law professor Patricia King, consumer advocate Ralph Nader and political humorist Kate Clinton. The program will bring together a diverse and distinguished array of policy makers, journalists and academics. The special will go periodically to NPR's radio newsroom in Washington, D.C. and to the Los Angeles Times' polling operation in California, for additional perspectives on the returns.
