- Program Description
For nearly five years the United States has been fighting the war on terror. Much of that war has been fought by the CIA and other intelligence agencies on what Vice President Cheney called "the dark side." But from the beginning there was a bitter internal struggle for control of the dark side between Cheney and CIA Director George Tenet. FRONTLINE follows the trail of the war-behind-the-war with more than 40 interviews of key participants, thousands of pages of documents and a step-by-step examination of what happened behind the headlines and deeply inside the councils of war.
