Series Description

An 8-part series on contemporary American urban problems. Hosted by Kenneth Clark, the program featured guests whose ideas and policies influenced the future of urban America.

The nation's "citymakers" struggling to free their fellowman from the tangle of urban dilemmas, lay the problems on the line in a new series on Channel 2. Joining psychologist Dr. Kenneth Clark will be big-city Mayors, among them Richard Hatcher of Gary, Indiana and Samuel Yorty of Los Angeles: urban experts, city councilmen, and welfare administrators.

Each of the eight programs is being produced on the campus of Brandeis University by WGBH's executive producer Henry Morgenthau for National Educational Television (NET). Director Mark Stevens. Nancy Hafkin, associate producer.
