- Program Description
For the most part, this episode of Victory Garden concentrates on the Earthsea Garden in Hikurangi, New Zealand. Peter Seabrook explores this self-sufficient garden and nursery. With its orchard and native landscape, the garden provides wonderful sights for the viewer. Roger Swain talks about the manmade brook in the suburban garden. He also discusses the nursery at home and potting up the seedlings (with his own potting soil mixture: equal parts of peat moss, compost, sharp sand, and fine bark chips). Marian Morash makes eggplant and tomato sauce on pasta.
Earthsea Gardens, Matapouri (15:08). Recipe: Eggplant Tomato sauce for eggplant.
