- Program Description
A young surgeon, Owen (Robson Green), lays siege to a glamorous older woman, Anna (Francesca Annis). At first she spurns his advances. Love seems to be winning when an unexpected complication arises: She is the wife of his tyrannical and vindictive boss, Richard (Michael Kitchen). But romance stays on track through trysts, treachery and more trouble than the young doctor ever bargained for. Episode One--Owen applies for a surgeon's job and must be evaluated by a management consultant who he claims is the sexiest woman he has ever met. Her verdict: thumbs down. He gets the job anyway and soon discovers that she is his boss' wife. With a helpful push or two, fate intervenes to bring them together. Episode Two--Owen's boss, Richard, is thrown out of the house when his wife discovers his infidelity. How she finds out, he doesn't know. She in turn takes a lover in revenge; who, he doesn't know. Could his underling Owen possibly be involved? Impossible! Episode Three--A hospital investigation is launched into a brawl involving Owen and his boss, Richard, who now hate each other. Anna files for divorce from Richard, but also rejects Owen when she discovers an act of betrayal. Can either of them win her back? The final move is hers.
