- Billy in the Lowlands
- Program Description
This feature length dramatic film was written and directed by local filmmaker Jan Egleson in conjunction with The Theatre Company of Boston. It’s the story of a Cambridge working class teenager, Billy, who gets involved with stealing a car and begins the descent into the world of police, juvenile courts and jails. Billy escapes from prison to look for his estranged father--but the meeting turns out to be poignant and disappointing. The actors are primarily Cambridge teenagers but features Paul Benedict as Billy’s father. This 80 minute story is an evocative and powerful glimpse into the lives of trouble kids.
