Broadcast: Jan. 14- Feb. 11, 1973 When a fever epidemic closes down his boarding school, Tom Brown is delighted to be sent home and spend time with his village friends, particularly Harry Winburn. Tom teaches Harry how to ride, Harry teaches Tom how to wrestle. Tom prevents Sir Richard Flashman from assaulting the simple-minded Jacob and from ravishing the Brown's maid, Mary. Tom is sent to a new school where he encounters Flashman's son Gerald, leader of bullies, who singles out Tom to torment.
