Program Description

A tale of sin and retribution, this program tells the story of a young girl named Emmeline who was sent to work in the mills of Massachusetts. There she bore an illegitimate son, gave him up for adoption, and returned to her home town in Maine. When her story was revealed, Emmeline found herself banned forever by her church, her community, and her family.
