Program premiered in 1971 with The First Churchills. Hosted by Alastair Cooke. Intended as a showcase for the best of British television drama. Spawned MYSTERY! in 1980. Rachel is now living with her husband David in the newly independent West African Republic. When they travel north on business they find themselves caught up on a growing rebellion against the Republic and its first president. Dr. Jerome Leblanc desperately tries to help David. Rachel and her son Billy leave for England as the rebels advance on the presidential palace.
