Broadcast: Sept. 9- 16, 1979 The off-stage antics of actor Edmund Kean, who became the idol of critics and audiences alike. High living and loving, temper tantrums and tremendous talents characterized Kean. Sartre wrote of this historical figure because of his reputation for relentless womanizing and uses him as a vehicle to develop a delightfully witty and satirical comedy about illusion and reality.
