Program Description

Christopher Lydon profiles the Northampton, Massachusetts-based sculptor, print-maker, publisher and book collector, Leonard Baskin, whose most recent commission is a monumental bas-relief for the FDR memorial in Washington, DC. Baskin is seen at his studio and print shop as he speaks of his own lifelong passion for confronting the human figure and the human dilemma through the eye and hand of the artist.
