Boston theatre critic Elliot Norton interviews prominent actors, directors and producers on their craft. (Aired from October, 1958 to 1982. Winner of both Peabody and Tony Awards.) Series release date: 1958
- Program Description
Jack MacGowran, brilliant Irish actor, discusses with Mr. Norton his long personal and creative association with Samuel Beckett. In this interview Mr. MacGowran reveals that Beckett himself, without program credit, directed, staged and designed the incredible one man show that MacGowran performed all across the United States and on public television in 1971.
This program was taped January 17, 1972, about a year before MacGowran’s death.
