Not Your Average Russian
Program Description

A profile of Soviet spokesman/journalist Vladimir Pozner, the unofficial voice and face of the Soviet Union in the West. The program follows Pozner, who grew up in New York City, on his first visit to the U.S. in 38 years. Scenes include Pozner on (and backstage) at "The Phil Donahue Show" and visiting the Manhattan grade school he attended as a child. Three Soviet specialists, who know Pozner and disagree on what America should make of him, provide analysis and commentary throughout the program.
