- Program Description
While Richard's typist, much to the displeasure of the staff, takes over the running of the house, Richard's concern is with the cost of running it. Knowing Richard has no money of his own, Lady Marjorie's mother offers him a directorship in a company in which she has substantial holdings. To accept, Richard recognizes, would mean losing his political independence; to decline would mean losing his house.
