- Series Description
Hosted by Eric Sevareid. ENTERPRISE's pioneering use of the "case study" approach to business documents high level decisions as they are taking place in the executive boardrooms. ENTERPRISE deliberately shows decision making processes as they occur. Business is treated as a human endeavor rather than an economic phenomenon. It goes beyond the statistics and charts to show real people making critical decisions and then bearing the consequences. ENTERPRISE benefits from the expertise of the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration (as Harvard professors act as advisors to each program.) Ex Prod: Zvi Dor-Ner / Each individual episode has different producer Series release date: 10/1981
- Program Description
Hosted by Eric Sevareid. In 1853, an itinerant dry goods salesman named Levi Strauss came to San Francisco to cash in on the Gold Rush. His customers were miners. Their favorite item was work pants made from denim, which Strauss was selling as tent material. One hundred years later, the Levi Strauss work pant began its sensational rise to the top of the world clothing industry. This is the story of how Levi Strauss clothing firm launches a new line of suits, sports coats and slacks targeted at a very specific segment of clothing market: the young male executive.
NOTE: Updated and rebroadcast as part of the third season on March 29, 1984 as program 311.
