Everything from shopping to gambling can be addictive behavior. The latest research now shows addiction as being linked to the pleasure centers in the brain. BODYWATCH looks at the relationship between brain chemistry and the so-called "addictive personality." Alcoholism, cigarette smoking and compulsive behavior are discussed in light of these new findings and their implications for treatment.
