Program Description

This documentary chronicles the parallel stories of America's relationship with the African republic of Liberia - created with the backing of the American Colonization Society and the U.S. government as a home for former slaves and freeborn blacks from America - and the settlers' relationship with the indigenous people. This is the story of America's African progeny.
