- Long Way from Home, A: Boston Street Stories
- Program Description
This program offers a year-long look at the everyday lives of several homeless people living on Boston streets. The documentary is a joint presentation of WCVB-TV (New England's Channel 5) and WGBH and will simulcast on both stations April 1, 1994 at 9pm. The producer, John Baynard, spent a year on the streets to record the histories of Nancy, who drives a van for the Pine Street Inn, Half-Gallon Harry and his friends, and Luis and Donna, living in a make-shift tent on a busy street corner in Boston. Although their experiences differ, they all share the daily realities of street living and the struggle to find independence.
