Mr. Norton’s guest this week is Harold Clurman, author of a new book about playwright Henrik Ibsen entitles “Ibsen” Mr. Norton and Mr. Clurman engage in a lively discussion about Ibsen’s works, character, life and lifestyle, and his influence on the modern theatre. Harold Clurman brings a long and distinguished career in the theatre, both as a producer and as a critic, to Elliot Norton Reviews. On the stage he has produced such hits as “Awake and Sing,” “Rocket to the Moon,” “Desire Under the Elms,” and “Incident at Vichy.” As a critic Mr. Clurman has long contributed to “The Nation” and has served as executive consultant to the Repertory Theatre, Lincoln Center.
